Foth is seeking a dynamic, relationshipdriven Business Development Professional - our "Client Team Leader" - to help expand our geographic footprint in Florida. This role is ideal for a true "hunter" who excels at cultivating new opportunities and strengthening longterm partnerships within the Solid Waste market.

You'll have the flexibility to work from our Jacksonville office or from your home in the Pensacola or Jupiter regions, while candidates throughout Florida may also choose a fully remote arrangement, as you drive strategic growth, develop new client relationships, and partner with internal teams to identify opportunities, shape winning proposals, and close highvalue work.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive Business Development: Leverage existing relationships to develop new business opportunities that align with Foth's market approach.ย  Actively pursue and close sales deals to ensure a steady pipeline of projects
  • Lead Proposals and Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations, showcasing your ability to understand client needs and market dynamics
  • Foster Long-Term Relationships: Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with our services and fostering loyalty
  • Strategic Selling: Develop and implement strategies to address client risks, execution concerns, and stakeholder issues, positioning Foth as a long-term trusted partner
  • Ensure Project Success: Collaborate with Foth Project Managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes from initiation to completion
  • Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing and proposed legislation related to public and private solid waste facilities; and sustainability practices such as Extended Producer Responsibility, Sustainable Materials Management, Circular Economies, Waste Diversion and Zero Waste
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth initiatives to align with Foth's market strategy
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical knowledge and project management expertise, supporting successful project execution. Maintain and share knowledge of emerging technologies and challenges related to the waste management industry
  • Mentor and Coach: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or similar discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting services in either the public or private sector
  • Previous solid waste permitting, design, construction, and/or compliance project experience
  • A proven track record developing, retaining and maintaining clients
  • Professional experience with federal and state regulatory requirements and standards for design of waste facilities and emerging regulatory issues
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering or scientific consulting servicesย 
  • Experience in consulting within the solid waste industry
  • Experience working in solid waste planning (master facility planning, budget development, process improvement, etc).
  • Prior experience working with waste haulers and other waste vendor services
