Job description

Regional Sales Representative – Refuse & Heavy Equipment

Company: GS Products (GSP Marketing) Location: Remote (Covering the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic Territory) Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

At GS Products, we are a leading manufacturer of top-quality refuse trucks and heavy waste-management equipment. We have built our reputation on manufacturing durable, reliable equipment and providing unmatched support to our clients.

We are incredibly proud of our company culture. Our upper management has been with us for 15 to 30 years, and our current sales team features representatives who have been thriving here for over a decade. We aren’t just looking for an employee; we are looking for a long-term team member. While our reps have their own dedicated territories, we operate as a highly collaborative, supportive team.

The Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and driven Regional Sales Representative to take over a highly lucrative, established Northeast/Mid-Atlantic territory (spanning PA, NY, NJ, MD, and surrounding areas).

In this role, you will be the face of GS Products, traveling throughout your territory to meet with clients, understand their equipment needs, and sell our manufactured refuse equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Management: Take ownership of the Northeast region, aggressively prospecting new business while managing and expanding existing client accounts.

  • Client Consultation: Meet with municipal and private waste management clients to understand their specific operational needs and recommend the appropriate refuse truck and equipment solutions.

  • Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of our manufactured equipment, options, and maintenance requirements to confidently educate buyers.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our internal team, service techs, and sales manager to ensure a seamless experience for the client from the initial pitch to post-sale support.

  • Travel: Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

You do not need to be a "perfect" candidate on paper, but you must have a working knowledge of the refuse industry, heavy trucks, or equipment maintenance.

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in heavy vehicle equipment, truck equipment maintenance, or direct equipment sales. (If you have a background in the refuse industry—even if you started out driving or riding on the back of a truck—we want to talk to you).

  • Mechanical Aptitude: A basic, solid understanding of heavy equipment and how it operates.

  • Sales Drive: A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage a large, multi-state territory autonomously.

  • Communication Skills: Down-to-earth, professional, and capable of building long-term trust with our clientele.

  • Licenses: A valid standard driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Bonus: A valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a massive plus, as you will eventually need to drive the trucks for demonstrations. If you do not currently have a CDL, but your willing to obtain one in the future that's a plus as well.

Why Join GS Products?

  • Immediate Start: This position is open and ready to be filled immediately.

  • Unmatched Stability: Join a company with incredibly low turnover and a team that genuinely wants to see you succeed.

  • High Earning Potential: Tap into a massive, essential industry with an established manufacturer backing you.
