Job description

Job Summary:
BigRio is a remote-based technology consulting firm headquartered in Boston, MA, specializing in software solutions and data analytics. The Analytical Software Quality Assurance Engineer will design and implement a comprehensive testing platform, ensuring software quality through test development and collaboration with development and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement a robust testing platform to ensure software quality.
• Create and execute tests to verify the quality and reliability of software products.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend testing advancements and new technologies.
• Build and execute automated testing frameworks to streamline QA processes.
• Enhance testing standards, tools, and methodologies within the organization.
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to align software quality objectives.
• Contribute to the organization's shift toward a technology-driven environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with highly virtualized public and private cloud environments.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools to support rapid development and deployment.
• Strong skills in documentation and diagram creation.
• Ability to balance idealism with pragmatism in a fast-paced environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Passion for building an efficient and scalable testing platform.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and best practices.
Preferred:
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Coding experience in Python and Java is a plus.
