Are you ready to lead the projects that power the digital economy? US Signal is looking for a Data Center Construction Manager to drive our mission-critical infrastructure builds from the ground up. From the first shovel to final handoff.
As the Data Center Construction Manager , you'll be the driving force behind our newest and most ambitious data center projects. You'll sit at the center of it all: engineering teams, utility providers, contractors, and executive customers, all looking to you to keep the project on track and everyone aligned. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives on ownership, moves fast, and knows how to turn complex infrastructure builds into smooth, on-time delivery.
What you'll do
  • Partner with engineering through design and preconstruction, then take the wheel and lead execution all the way to construction completion.
  • Own the site permitting process for new and expanding data center locations, bringing your construction and market expertise to every site decision.
  • Drive power and utility procurement strategy, negotiating directly with utility providers to lock in the capacity our facilities and customers need.
  • Be the face of major construction projects for our customers, managing executive relationships and keeping contractors and subcontractors aligned on flawless delivery.
  • Lead the handoff from construction to operations, setting our facilities up for a seamless transition to the team that runs them.
  • Represent US Signal with customers, partners, and communities as we grow into new markets.

Requirements
What you bring to the team:
  • Executive Relationship Management & Influence: Builds credibility and trust with customers, utility providers, contractors, community stakeholders, and internal partners.   • Construction Program Leadership & Execution: Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability in leading complex construction initiatives. Effectively manages competing priorities, drives results, mitigates risks, and ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Strategic Problem Solving & Infrastructure Planning: Applies sound judgment, business acumen, and technical understanding to navigate complex permitting, utility procurement, and construction challenges. Thrives in ambiguous environments and develops practical solutions that support operational readiness and future growth.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data center construction projects, including a strong understanding of power, cooling, and other critical infrastructure systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with utility coordination, power procurement, or infrastructure capacity planning for large-scale construction or development projects.
  • Experience building and managing executive-level customer relationships within construction, project delivery, account management, or client-facing environments.
  • Experience managing site permitting activities and working within land development, zoning, regulatory, or entitlement processes for commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to travel 25-35%, including minimum of 1 visit/month to each active construction site, varying by project need, to meet with general contractors, subcontractors, and customers.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, real estate, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:
  • 4+ Years Experience managing large-scale construction projects, including direct experience with data center, mission-critical, or complex commercial construction environments

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
This position may be performed in either a standard office setting or a home office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, and effective time management in a self-directed work environment. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and participation in US Signal's comprehensive benefits programs. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
