Job description

Summary

Talitrix is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end implementation of our software and hardware solutions for federal/State and Local government clients and their contractors. This role focuses on real-time inmate monitoring systems deployed inside detention and correctional facilities.
The technology stack includes a proprietary software platform. Projects require significant client-facing interaction, requirements capture, system configuration, on-site deployment, and training. This is a high-travel, hands-on implementation role supporting federal agencies and contractors who provide on-site labor at detention facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Capture & Adaptation: Lead discovery sessions with federal clients and contractors to gather operational requirements and adapt them to Talitrix systems.
  • System Configuration: Configure both software and hardware components, including PC peripherals, Wi-Fi/BLE beacons, and related infrastructure.
  • Signal Testing & Evaluation: Conduct and oversee facility-wide signal strength testing and evaluation to ensure reliable coverage for monitoring solutions.
  • On-Site Deployment & Implementation: Manage full project lifecycle from planning through go-live, including hardware installation, software setup, and system validation at client locations.
  • Client Training: Deliver on-site training to facility staff and stakeholders on system operation, monitoring workflows, and best practices.
  • Project Controls: Own project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, status reporting, and stakeholder communication across internal teams and external clients.
  • Travel: Travel extensively to client sites (federal detention facilities and contractor locations) as required to support deployment and training activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of project management experience delivering technical implementations (software, hardware, or systems integration).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects involving both software and physical hardware deployment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with software platforms and peripheral/hardware components (e.g., beacons, wireless devices, PC-connected systems). Ability to learn signal testing tools and facility coverage evaluation.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and training skills; comfortable working inside secure/detention environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while traveling frequently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, Business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. Degree field is flexible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Direct experience with federal government projects, DHS/ICE, or government contractors supporting detention/correctional facilities.
  • Background in IoT, wireless beacons (Wi-Fi/BLE), RFID, or facility-wide sensor/network deployments.
  • Experience working in or supporting secure environments (jails, detention centers, military installations, or similar).
  • Familiarity with corrections technology, electronic monitoring, or life-safety systems.
