• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized therapy plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate group, family, couple, and individual therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive environment conducive to healing and development.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software for reporting and tracking progress.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that address the holistic needs of clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training programs, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in mental health research.

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, families, and couples facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance misuse. Your empathetic approach will help build rapport and trust with clients who may have previously experienced difficulty in accessing consistent mental health care.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee is required.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential for this position.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience is required, preferably within a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of ethical and legal standards surrounding mental health care is necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proven capability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team.
• Competence in utilizing EMR software and related technologies for documentation and client management.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with marginalized populations and understanding their unique challenges in accessing mental health services.

• The salary range for this role is competitive, from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and case load.
