Stoneridge Software is looking for an experienced Project Management Team Manager who will be responsible for managing individual team members across a range of technical competencies. This is a hybrid player - coach role that also entails direct Project Management responsibilities on an ongoing basis.    

In addition to having solid project management experience, we are looking for a proven people manager who will lead a team of direct reports to deliver outstanding services across Stoneridge Software. This role will work under the direction of the Director of Project Management to interact closely with a broad and diverse set of internal stakeholders to foster a cohesive, creative, and comfortable working environment, mediating any interpersonal issues within the team, providing leadership and direction where necessary. This individual will need to collaborate heavily with other team managers in the PMO, as well as leaders from our consulting and development teams on methodology topics and is expected to be a champion of project management excellence within the organization.    

A Day in the Life as a Coach
  • Manage a team with a diverse background and experiences while ensuring their self-development and career advancement plans are established, well-communicated and executed effectively  

  • Establish and achieve team and individual targets; this includes identifying appropriate professional skill and technical mentoring plans for each team member through effective performance management techniques  

  • Participate in resourcing decisions along with other Project Management Team Managers and Senior Leadership, carefully balancing capacity across the team with Stoneridge Software's other priorities  

  • Ensure direct reports’ utilization and other operational metrics are consistently met  

  • Lead and ensure direct reports are practicing the Stoneridge Software implementation methodology including continuous improvement activities  

  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal teams to facilitate the sharing of information to ensure informed business prioritization and decision making  

  • Collaborate across delivery departments to ensure "On-brand Delivery" to projects  

  • Operate as an outstanding people leader, with proven track record of attracting, retaining, and cultivating high performing talent that is both a company fit and will contribute in meaningful ways to the long-term goals of Stoneridge Software  

  • Partner with the Director of Project Management to drive the improvement, implementation and maintenance of Project Management standards, methodologies, processes, tools, and templates   

  • Act as client-facing escalation point as needed 

A Day in the Life as a Player
  • Lead and manage successful delivery of Dynamics 365 projects   

  • Work with Stoneridge Leadership to create trusting executive relationships with our clients' teams and client key stakeholders  

  • Understand project (including client's) resource capabilities and constraints and adjust the project plan accordingly   

  • Manage project scope, team activities and project dependencies to ensure on time and within budget (and other KPIs) project deliverables that meet the client’s stated objectives and goals  

  • Drive effective project communication through organizing and leading steering committee meetings, project planning meetings, and recurring team meetings   

  • Mitigate risks, manage issues and escalations on projects and within your team of direct reports 

  • Adhere to Stoneridge Software’s implementation methodology 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading, managing and motivating a team through various stages of growth and learning development  

  • Previous experience acting as a player/coach strongly preferred  

  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, some of which include the direct implementation of ERP and/or CRM solutions  

  • Previous experience in a consulting environment required  

  • A track record of exceptional partnering across various internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels  

  • PMP, CSM or CAPM designation preferred   

  • Proven ability to drive impact and effectively influence, with the ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations (all levels of an organization, technical and non-technical, client and internal)  

  • Ability to break down complex solutions, project plans, and concepts into easy consumption for both technical and non-technical individuals  

  • Previous experience creating or contributing to the establishment and/or improvement of project management processes, methodologies, templates, tools, and other standards preferred  

  • Ability to effectively push yourself and those around you to accomplish the goals at hand and know how to juggle multiple complex projects/priorities simultaneously. You know how to identify an issue before it arises and provide proactive solutions  

  • Exceptional written, verbal and creative communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create visual or written presentations as well as create overall communication plans  

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics technologies and/or ERP and CRM implementations  

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced, high-speed environment  

  • Motivated self-starter  

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English

Compensation
Our philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance.  Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels.
 
US (USD): $137,600-$198,100
Canada (CAD): C$175,200-$262,300
