Job description

Marketing Workflow Manager

Locations: Sioux Center, IA | Sioux Falls, SD | Omaha, NE
Open to remote for the right candidate, with preference given to candidates located near one of our office locations.

At Interstates, our Marketing team supports recruiting, business development, digital marketing, events, client communications, and strategic initiatives across the company. In this role, you'll help bring clarity to how that work is requested, prioritized, managed, and delivered.

You'll partner with Marketing leadership and team members to improve workflows, lead key initiatives, and create visibility into priorities, timelines, and team capacity, helping the team stay focused on the work that matters most.

What You'll Do

You'll serve as the operational hub of our Marketing team, helping connect business priorities, people, and projects to keep work moving forward.

In this role you'll:

  • Manage Marketing's project intake process, helping evaluate, prioritize, and route incoming work.  
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to align Marketing's work with business priorities, team capacity, and strategic objectives. Create visibility into workload, timelines, priorities, and resource capacity.
  • Lead complex marketing and cross-functional projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Build project plans, communication strategies, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Anticipate risks, identify roadblocks, and help resolve competing priorities before they impact delivery.
  • Improve Marketing's workflows, templates, and tools that help Marketing scale.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that provide meaningful insight into project progress, team workload, and capacity..
  • Champion continuous improvement across how Marketing plans, collaborates, and delivers work.

What You Bring

Success in this role requires someone who is organized, collaborative, and comfortable bringing clarity to complex work.

You'll likely be successful if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6 years of experience managing projects, programs, or operations within a marketing, creative, agency, or communications environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills  with the ability to prioritize. Competing work and adapt as priorities change.  
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and balancing competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience improving processes, workflows, and team operations.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning project management and collaboration platforms.
  • The ability to think strategically while staying attentive to the details.
