As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Urban Care Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, identifying symptoms, challenges, and treatment objectives.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that cater to the unique preferences and goals of each client.
• Delivering therapeutic sessions through secure virtual platforms, maintaining compliance with HIPAA guidelines to ensure the confidentiality of client information.
• Collaborating with clients to establish achievable therapeutic goals, providing ongoing support, and modifying treatment strategies as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic methodologies—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and solution-focused approaches—to ensure comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
• Maintaining detailed and timely documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with regulatory standards.

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust with clients in a remote environment.
• Exemplary empathy, compassion, and a genuine understanding towards the experiences of clients in their mental health journeys.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to effectively handle client schedules and documentation while working remotely.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Previous experience in a teletherapy or remote counseling setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth software.
• Training or certification in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
