Location: Hybrid: Two days per week onsite for employees located within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated office or;

Remote: This position may be performed fully remotely for candidates who are not located within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated office.

Travel: Minimal travel required, with up to two domestic business trips per year.

About the Role:

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead, scale, and inspire the teams building core digital products that support Securitas Guarding services. This position plays a key role in supporting digital product delivery and engineering operations by modernizing engineering practices, improving developer productivity, strengthening operational excellence, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality software on a scale. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, forward-thinking engineering leader who balances a people-first leadership philosophy with a strong focus on delivery, customer outcomes, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you will:

  • Mentor engineering leaders and individual contributors, fostering ownership, accountability and professional growth.

  • Champion a product mindset by helping teams understand customer needs, measure outcomes, and solve meaningful user problems.

  • Mature automated testing and deployment pipelines, improve development environments and tooling, and responsibly adopt AI-assisted engineering practices.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including employees, contractors, and external development partners, to ensure alignment, quality, and delivery excellence.

  • Establish lightweight governance and predictable delivery practices that enable speed, consistency, and proactive risk and dependency management.

  • Drive reliability, availability, and operational readiness through observability, monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading and scaling Agile software engineering organizations, including coaching senior engineers and technical leaders.

  • At least 3 years of engineering leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud-native architectures, web technologies, APIs, and mobile application ecosystems.

  • Experience building and operating reliable production systems with observability, monitoring, incident response, and service ownership practices.

  • Experience evaluating and incorporating AI-assisted development tools and workflows into engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.

  • Experience with SQL and Snowflake.

  • Experience with Kotlin and/or Swift.

  • Experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD platforms.

  • Experience with application monitoring and observability platforms.

  • Experience with DevEx analytics tools.

Compensation Information:

Pay Range: Securitas will offer a salary range of $175K - $200K/Annually 

Actual compensation is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, work location, applicable laws, and business needs.
