In this role, you'll design, develop, and deploy modern, cloud-native applications that support GEOINT missions while collaborating with software engineers, cloud architects, and mission users in an Agile environment. You'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and web applications using DevSecOps best practices to deliver secure, high-impact capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable software applications supporting GEOINT mission objectives.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and modern web applications using current front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Build and maintain containerized applications leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support DevSecOps initiatives by contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications while ensuring compliance with security and accreditation requirements.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 4–8 years of relevant experience (or Master's degree with 2–6 years of experience).
  • Experience developing software using one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Experience developing web applications, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end or back-end applications.
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins), and Agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices, RMF/STIG compliance, and modern software architecture principles.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a desire to continuously learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with back-end frameworks including Spring Boot, Node.js, Django, or Flask.
  • Experience with AWS C2S/GovCloud or other multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or other NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or other classified customer environments.
  • Familiarity with geospatial technologies including GeoServer, PostGIS, OGC APIs, or ESRI ArcGIS.
