We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Application Developer with expertise in Java and Python to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications. This role will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions across both front-end and back-end technologies, developing scalable APIs, integrating enterprise systems, and supporting cloud-native application development.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in full-stack software engineering, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and high-performing applications in an Agile environment.


This is a (1) year contract opportunity with one of Arctiq's client. Candidates can work remotely in US or Canada.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java and Python.
  • Build responsive web applications and user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Design scalable microservices and cloud-native applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, UX designers, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop integrations with enterprise applications, databases, and third-party services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and optimize system performance.
  • Support automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Java.
  • Strong programming experience with Python.
  • Experience developing modern web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with object-oriented design principles and software design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
