The Command Center Software (CCSW) organization specializes in performing software and hardware delivery. Each software application in our Command Center suite is strengthened with unique integrations, consistent user experiences, accelerated workflows, and centralized access to data. Our public safety software suite is the only end-to-end software platform that provides a unified experience and intelligent capabilities designed specifically for public safety.
Job Description

The Solutions Architect role is responsible for all the technical aspects of project implementation. The Solutions Architect team is comprised of staff with a variety of skill levels in a variety of knowledge domains related to all the solutions in the Command Center suite. The Solutions Architect team delivers technical solutions by collaborating with Project Managers, Application Specialists, other Solutions Architects, customers, software developers, and any other resources needed to ensure the success of the project.

Responsibilities involved the integration of programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project, including:

  • Understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution. It requires working closely with the Pre- and Post-Sales teams to align the requirements with customer solution needs.

  • Leading and defending the project's technical and programmatic decisions. It requires identifying customer expectation mismatches and working with the Project Manager to mitigate them.

  • Tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes. Requires working with the customer and engineering teams when implementing solutions including third-party applications.

  • Assists Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks to the deployment plan and suggesting mitigation options for those risks.

  • Participating as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for third-party, customer, and internal meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a technical or engineering field, an Associate Degree in a technical field; or equivalent experience (+6 years) in delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level technical deployment projects.

  • Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance as required by local, state, and federal government contracts which include criminal and financial background investigations.

  • Excellent presentation skills are required. Must be highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).

  • Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.

  • Willing to travel, occasionally up to 30% of the time.

This position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
