As a remote social worker, you will operate within a supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes mental health and educational success. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, rotating weekends, and requisite on-call availability to provide timely support for crises. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for a diverse student population, ensuring thorough understanding of their emotional and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health issues while promoting emotional well-being and integration into the school community.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for each student's needs, particularly focusing on ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma responses.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.
• Collaborate extensively with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to offer holistic care.
• Deliver crisis intervention and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for all students.
• Create and present psychoeducational materials for students and their families, helping them understand mental health conditions and available resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovations in the field.
• Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting mental health practice in educational settings.

Your primary focus will be students with diverse special needs that call for specialized mental health interventions. This role is pivotal for young individuals facing challenges such as autism spectrum disorder, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and the effects of trauma. Your interventions will not only address immediate mental health concerns but also contribute to their overall educational experience and emotional resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LCSW licensure in Georgia.
• A solid two years of post-licensure experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and trauma-informed care practices.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing effective treatment plans.
• Experience executing individual and group therapy sessions with various therapeutic methodologies.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills, coupled with a calm demeanor during high-stress situations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer literacy to manage patient documentation accurately.
• An ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment to achieve common goals.

While two years of full-time post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional experience in educational settings or with specific populations, such as children and adolescents facing emotional and behavioral challenges, will be highly valued. Familiarity with collaborative approaches involving other healthcare and educational professionals will distinguish your application.
