Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote therapy sessions with individuals and groups, utilizing our secure telehealth platform to ensure confidentiality and safety.
• Perform thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, social, and mental health needs, creating tailored treatment plans based on these evaluations.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support when necessary, ensuring clients' safety and enhancing their emotional security.
• Guide clients in accessing community resources and social services that enhance their overall wellbeing, helping them navigate the external support systems available.
• Maintain and update accurate electronic client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and support staff, to deliver holistic care that addresses the diverse needs of clients.
• Empower clients by educating them on effective coping strategies, communication skills, and self-care techniques to foster independent management of their mental health.
• Engage in continual professional development through ongoing education, staying informed on the latest research and best practices in clinical social work and teletherapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Waves for Good, you will primarily support clients managing emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges associated with terminal illness and hospice care. Your expertise will contribute to a compassionate approach that respects the dignity and unique experiences of each client during sensitive moments in their lives.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a related field, particularly in hospice, mental health, or social services.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective remote interactions with clients.
• Commitment to ethical practices and client confidentiality.
• A self-motivated and autonomous approach, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet the diverse needs of clients across various time zones.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing therapy in hospice care or within similar settings focused on end-of-life issues.
• Background in crisis intervention and support services.

Compensation and Benefits
