Brilliant Agency, one of the most respected and rapidly growing agencies focused on family-oriented brands, seeks a REMOTE Social Media Video Editing Intern , 15 hours a week to help support the agency's growing, award‐winning team. We are a unique Public Relations agency, celebrating 15 years in business with over 25 team members who all work remotely across the US. We give our team the resources they need to get their work done without having to sit in a cubicle or stuffy office. From costume contests to virtual happy hours and Slack GIFs, we prioritize connecting with each other and creating a sense of community.

Although we are remote, team members are expected to be available online during regular business hours, and there is occasional travel for events and trade shows. What We Do: Brilliant is in its second decade as a fully remote company and is one of the most respected agencies serving consumer lifestyle brands with a specific focus on products, brands, and services for families including baby and maternity, toys and games, tech, housewares, and food. This isn't an internship to organize files, it's the one where you are truly integrated into a team to understand how it operates and the fundamentals of a strong career in PR.

With that, it is critical that interns can meet deadlines, respond to messages in a timely manner, and be proactive in communicating with their team. Internship Structure: We have two internship sessions – Summer/Fall (June or August - December) and Winter/Spring (January - May or June) – and many interns end up staying for multiple sessions. Active interns get first pick for the following semester internship spots!

Excited about building a strong career foundation to build from post graduation. Has a genuine eye for visual storytelling and understands how editing drives engagement Short-Form Video Production Edit and produce short‐form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) for client brands across multiple platforms, from raw footage to polished, publish‐ready assets.

Collaborate with the social media team to align video content with editorial calendars and campaign timelines. Maintain consistent brand look, feel, and tone across all video edits for each client. Content Creation Edit UGC, brand footage, and creator content into thumb‐stopping Reels and TikToks optimized for each platform.

Add captions, text overlays, transitions, sound design, and on‐trend effects to elevate raw video content. Create simple motion graphics and branded title cards to complement video content. Assist with writing hooks and caption copy that complement the video creative.

Organize and manage video asset libraries in Airtable and shared drives. Video Performance & Trend Research Monitor video performance metrics (views, watch time, saves, shares) and surface insights to the team. Stay current on trending audio, video formats, editing styles, and platform‐specific best practices (especially TikTok and Instagram).

Identify and flag trending UGC and creator content relevant to client brands for potential repurposing. Creative Brainstorming and Ideation Bring creative ideas to team brainstorms, especially around video concepts, hooks, and formats that align with client goals. Research competitor video strategies and benchmark performance to inform creative recommendations.

Source trending audio, reference videos, and inspiration to bring fresh ideas to each edit. Suggest new editing styles, formats, or trends that could drive stronger video engagement for clients. Video Asset Management & Admin Compile and organize video files, raw footage, and exported assets in shared storage and Airtable.

Manage and update "link in bio" sections across social platforms, ensuring that links are current. Support in Airtable updates, including video tags, platform specs, captions, and content metadata. Requirements Include You must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior.

Hands‐on experience editing short‐form video content (personal, academic, or professional projects accepted). 3.0 GPA or above Be able to commit at least 15 hours a week during office hours, 8-5 in your time zone. Excellent writing skills Proficiency in at least one video editing tool (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar) with a portfolio or examples of past work Strong organizational abilities Professional demeanor and a drive to succeed Eagerness to learn and willingness to ask questions Resourceful attitude and keen attention to detail ***Prior to applying for this position, please contact your College or University Career Center and verify that you are eligible to receive College Credits for an Internship although accepting credit hours is not necessary to accept an offer.
