As an LPC, you will play a vital role in helping young adults navigate their mental health challenges, fostering their personal growth and resilience.

About the Organization

At the Private Counseling Group, we are more than just a mental health provider; we are a community passionate about transforming lives and unlocking the potential within every individual. This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility and convenience while maintaining a strong connection with our team and clients. Although the work is conducted virtually, you will be part of a vibrant community dedicated to mental health advocacy. Our Community Health Clinic is designed to provide comprehensive care, and you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Therapy: Facilitate engaging group sessions that promote peer support and connection among clients, enabling them to share their experiences and learn from one another.
  • Individual Therapy: Provide personalized counseling to help clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. You will empower them to develop coping strategies tailored to their individual needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized and goal-oriented treatment plans, aligning therapeutic interventions with their specific preferences and needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Utilize assessment tools and feedback methods to track and evaluate client progress, ensuring that treatment goals are being met and modified as necessary.
  • Collaborative Care: Work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care, consult on complex cases, and ensure the highest level of service for our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with young adults facing a variety of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety issues, and life transitions. Understanding the unique needs and backgrounds of this population is crucial in providing effective support and guidance. Through your role, you will help clients not only cope but thrive against the backdrop of their mental health struggles.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.
  • Licensure: A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential is essential to provide clinical services.
  • Experience: Candidates must demonstrate experience working with clients facing mental health or mood disorders in residential or outpatient settings.
  • Team-oriented Mindset: We seek individuals who are collaborative, enthusiastic about our mission, and eager to contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Clinical Expertise: Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is preferred.
Preferred Experience

Experience in community mental health systems or holistic treatment approaches is a plus, as is a background in working with diverse populations. Applicants who have conducted workshops or trainings in mental health awareness will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive health benefits: medical, dental, and vision coverage available to ensure you and your family’s health needs are met.
  • Short-term and long-term disability, along with life insurance, provides additional financial security for peace of mind.
  • A 401k plan with up to a 5% employer match supports your retirement plans and financial wellness.
  • Enjoy 4 weeks of paid time off annually, including a blend of PTO and paid floating holidays, to promote a healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to a robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers counseling, legal advice, financial planning guidance, and wellness coaching.
  • Continuous education and CEU support will empower your professional development and growth.
