The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, helping them navigate their paths toward recovery and holistic well-being. This full-time remote position offers an annual salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus.

This role is 100% remote, providing a flexible and convenient work setting that empowers you to care for your clients from the comfort of your own home. You will follow a structured work schedule, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, along with potential evening shifts on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. Our telehealth platform is fully equipped to facilitate engaging and effective therapeutic sessions.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders to inform treatment strategies.
• Collaborate closely with each client to craft individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions, aligning with their unique goals and needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on developing vital coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques, ensuring clients feel supported throughout their recovery journey.
• Engage in collaborative care by liaising with multidisciplinary team members such as psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to deliver an integrated and holistic treatment approach.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and conduct regular substance use monitoring to empower clients and maintain their commitment to recovery.
• Educate clients and their families about the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in line with ethical and legal guidelines.
• Participate actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills related to co-occurring disorder treatment.

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from both mental health challenges and substance use disorders. This diverse client population requires a tailored therapeutic approach that recognizes the complexity and interrelatedness of their conditions. Your role will support clients from various backgrounds and life experiences, building trust and rapport to facilitate successful engagements.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid mental health license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies geared towards co-occurring disorders, with a focus on methodologies such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A strong comprehension of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, underscored by excellent interpersonal skills suitable for teamwork.

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the mental health field, specifically addressing co-occurring disorders.
• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools to enhance client engagement and therapeutic outcomes.
