• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized therapy strategies that address specific mental health needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic and comprehensive care, contributing insights to improve treatment plans and client outcomes.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions to stay informed about the latest research and trends in mental health.

The clients you will serve are individuals and families often facing barriers to accessing mental health care. We focus on providing care for those dealing with an array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Our center is dedicated to ensuring that even those from marginalized communities and low-income backgrounds receive the support they need to achieve their mental health goals.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required to ensure a deep understanding of mental health principles.
• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is mandatory to practice legally and ethically.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience is required, preferably in a clinical setting, to demonstrate a well-rounded understanding of client needs.
• A strong grasp of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is essential to ensure compliance and uphold professional integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for establishing rapport with diverse clientele and fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to an effective and supportive atmosphere for client care.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies to streamline workflow and documentation processes.

• Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly preferred and enriches our service offerings.
