Are you an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer who thrives in a fast-paced environment where precision, ownership, and exceptional customer service matter? Our client is seeking a seasoned mortgage professional to independently manage residential mortgage loans from Closing Disclosure through funding, ensuring every loan closes accurately, compliantly, and on time.

If you're looking to join a respected industry leader where your expertise directly impacts the borrower experience, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Company:

For over 50 years, our client has been a trusted partner to residential mortgage lenders, providing timely, accurate, and compliant closing documents for more than 5 million residential loan transactions. Their reputation for precision, reliability, and exceptional client service has made them one of the nation's premier mortgage closing partners.

Today, they continue to combine decades of mortgage expertise with an unwavering commitment to quality, helping lenders close loans efficiently and confidently.

What You'll Do:

As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you'll independently manage a high-volume pipeline of residential mortgage loans while serving as the primary liaison between clients, settlement agents, title companies, and internal teams. You'll proactively resolve issues, prepare compliant closing documentation, and guide each loan through a seamless funding process. This is a fully remote/work-from-home position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage residential mortgage loans from Closing Disclosure through funding.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, settlement agents, title companies, and internal partners throughout the closing process.
  • Review, validate, and accurately input loan data into the mortgage origination system to prepare closing documents.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver Closing Disclosures and final closing packages to investors and settlement agents.
  • Review, balance, correct, and approve Closing Disclosures while working closely with title companies to ensure loan accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare closing documents and instructions for a variety of loan products, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, ARM, Bond, Texas Home Equity (TXHE), Texas A6, Texas 50(f)(2), and Texas Cash-Out loans.
  • Proactively identify and resolve title, documentation, compliance, and closing issues to ensure timely funding.
  • Review purchase contracts, hazard insurance, title work, and other required documentation prior to closing.
  • Release and track closing documents with settlement agents.
  • Review closing conditions, verify signatures and documentation, and clear conditions once all requirements have been satisfied.
  • Verify funding figures, disbursement of funds, completed loan packages, and final documentation.
  • Approve Closing Disclosures and authorize loan funding.
  • Provide closing support to branch personnel and internal business partners.
  • Assist teammates with pipeline management during periods of high volume.
  • Assist with post-closing issue resolution as needed.
  • Stay current on investor, agency, and industry guideline updates.
  • Conduct all work professionally and ethically while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of recent full-cycle residential mortgage closing experience, including independently managing loans from Closing Disclosure through funding.
  • Wholesale mortgage closing experience is required or, at minimum, considered a major advantage.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and mortgage closing experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Ellie Mae Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience using Fannie Mae Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) and Freddie Mac Loan Closing Advisor.
  • Strong working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, government lending guidelines, and mortgage closing policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to review, balance, and approve Closing Disclosures across multiple loan products.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and a high-volume pipeline in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to client service and teamwork.

What Our Client Offers:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Remote/work-from-home flexibility
  • A collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to excellence
  • The opportunity to join one of the mortgage industry's most respected organizations with a 50+ year history of success
