Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Arrowhead Family and Marriage Consulting, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient intakes including diagnostic and functional evaluations, and making therapeutic recommendations to primary care providers.
• Providing brief, focused interventions and ongoing support to patients experiencing mental health issues.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers, ensuring that patient needs are met in the primary care setting.
• Monitoring patient progress, coordinating care with other treatment providers, and adjusting treatment strategies as needed to improve outcomes.
• Creating relapse prevention plans and assisting patients in maintaining stability in their mental health.
• Documenting detailed clinical notes and maintaining accurate treatment records in compliance with agency policies.
• Providing consultation to clinic management regarding behavioral health services and contributing to program evaluations.
• Empowering patients with self-management skills and resources to actively participate in their own recovery journey.
• Adhering to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals at all times and performing additional duties as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges. Your ability to provide culturally competent care is essential in ensuring that all patients feel heard and respected. You may encounter clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health conditions, necessitating a tailored and empathetic approach to each unique case.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the state of Illinois.
• Proficiency in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
• In-depth knowledge of DSM-IV-V diagnoses and evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is highly desirable:

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish to better serve our diverse community.
• Experience in a telehealth setting, utilizing digital tools to provide therapeutic services.
• A solid understanding of community resources and how to navigate them for patient benefit.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
