Job description

Skillforce has teamed up with one of the largest mechanical, industrial and commercial construction services providers to find an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead crews on a large commercial construction project in Mesa, AZ. This is a direct hire/long term position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation who thrives in a fast-paced, high-production environment.

Location: Mesa, AZ
Pay: $45–$50/hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise sheet metal installation crews on a large commercial construction project.
  • Coordinate daily work activities to ensure project milestones are met safely and efficiently.
  • Manage crews of up to 30 sheet metal mechanics while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and company expectations.
  • Promote and enforce all jobsite safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with project management, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Complete daily reports and provide progress updates as needed.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of sheet metal experience on large commercial construction projects.
  • Previous experience leading crews of up to 30 field employees.
  • Proven ability to manage accelerated project schedules while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate crews and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Current Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 10-hour shifts
  • Friday & Saturday: 8-hour shifts
Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Clean driving record required.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Rigger Certification
  • CPR / First Aid
  • Fall Protection
  • Aerial Lift Certification
