Position Overview

Vitalize Metal and Wellness Center is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team. In this full-time role, the LCSW will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, all primarily within a remote school environment. The ideal candidate will manage a varied caseload, addressing significant mental health disorders and facilitating effective treatment pathways to assist clients in achieving their personal and therapeutic goals.

Work Environment

This is a remote position tailored to fit the needs of our school-based clients. Working from home, you will benefit from a flexible work schedule that allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, ensuring you have evenings and weekends off to recharge while prioritizing your clients’ mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of mental health needs for students and their families, creating individualized treatment plans that align with assessed needs and goals.
• Deliver high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services, including crisis interventions, while maintaining professional standards expected of a licensed practitioner.
• Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary primary care team, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to patient care discussions.
• Ensure compliance with established mental health policies and procedures, advocating for the best practices in behavioral health services.
• Manage patient intakes efficiently to provide timely interventions for those in need, utilizing electronic health record systems to document care appropriately.
• Facilitate referrals for patients requiring inpatient services or specialty care, ensuring they receive the holistic support they need.
• Monitor and screen patients for substance abuse issues, providing counseling and referrals as necessary to external resources for further treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with students and their families, addressing a range of mental health disorders encountered within the school setting. This may include anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more. Your role will be pivotal in creating an inclusive therapeutic environment that recognizes and respects the cultural diversity of our clients, facilitating equitable access to mental health care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, with a current, valid LCSW license to practice.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective clinical interventions, possessing excellent crisis management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, enabling you to present complex information in an accessible manner.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team-based environment, enhancing coordinated care for patients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and maintaining client documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity, with an understanding of the diverse needs of the communities we serve.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a school-based or educational setting providing mental health services is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote service delivery methods.
• Knowledge of community resources for mental health and substance abuse treatment.
