Work Environment

This position is remote but involves collaboration with local educational institutions to provide therapy services directly in schools. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify and understand the unique needs of each student, allowing for the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address diverse mental health challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy and psychoeducational workshops, aiding students in their understanding of mental health topics and building a sense of community support.
• Work collaboratively with educational staff, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless coordination and holistic care for students.
• Provide emergency crisis intervention support, guiding students through acute mental health challenges.
• Educate students and their families on mental health awareness, treatment options, and available community resources that can assist them outside of therapy.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of our practice.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing professional training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is on supporting school-aged children and adolescents facing various mental health issues. Our ideal therapist will be adept in understanding the unique pressures and challenges that young individuals encounter, particularly within the educational context.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Excellent skills in communication, assessment, and relationship-building with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient case management and documentation.
• A strong ethical compass and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in school-based mental health services.
• Experience with teletherapy and remote service delivery models is highly desired.
• Familiarity with community resources and support services for children and families.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
