Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status and emotional well-being of clients, which can include intake interviews and standardized screening tools.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations, ensuring that each client's goals and needs are met with personalized strategies.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques for individuals, families, and groups.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-up sessions, documenting changes and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute distress or mental health emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to provide holistic care and support for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with emerging trends and research in mental health treatment.
• Participate in regular supervision sessions and training workshops to enhance clinical skills and therapeutic efficacy.
• Adhere strictly to ethical practices and professional standards as outlined by licensing boards and relevant organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Wiser Minds, you will serve a diverse population, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your work will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their struggles, providing them with the tools and support they need to improve their emotional resilience and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist, such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• Proficient clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a strong focus on client-centered care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, fostering strong client relationships.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to promoting client well-being and mental health recovery.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or a related field. Experience with telehealth platforms and methodologies is highly desirable, as it will enable smooth integration into our existing remote service model.
