Job Description:

We are seeking a highly strategic, technically grounded, and seasoned Senior Program Manager to lead and scale our Global Professional Services Channel Program. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and governing the expert advantage professional services programs that enable our channel partners to successfully deliver and activate complex enterprise solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in channel program architecture, a deep understanding of ecosystem routes to market, and a solid technical grasp of multi-cloud infrastructure-specifically the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and its core components (Storage, Kubernetes, and Security). You must be an exceptional content creator, cross-functional diplomat, and master communicator capable of driving thought leadership, thinking creatively outside traditional programmatic boundaries, and navigating matrixed environments with cross functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Channel Program Strategy & Expert Advantage Program Management

  • Lead and evolve the Expert Advantage Program, a flagship initiative dedicated to empowering, incentivizing, and accelerating the growth of our specialized consulting services partners globally.
  • Design customized partner benefits and tailored value propositions that align with diverse partner business models, ensuring partners clearly recognize and capture measurable value from the program.
  • Design and execute comprehensive, global professional services channel programs tailored to drive partner-led delivery, service activation, and customer consumption.
  • Optimize and govern various aspects of the program to ensure partner profitability, service quality, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Product and Global Services teams to translate complex technical roadmaps into structured partner enablement and delivery frameworks.

2. Services Delivery & Technical Ecosystem Adoption

  • Act as the programmatic champion for the delivery and activation of VMware solutions, with a primary focus on the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform.
  • Drive partner adoption and delivery readiness across critical technology pillars, including software-defined storage, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and advanced cloud security components.
  • Optimize the entitlement process by leveraging existing tools to make it more efficient.
  • Architect and author high-impact content, core program messaging, and critical enablement assets (e.g., playbooks, value proposition decks, program guides, and whitepapers) tailored for both internal execution and external partner activation.
  • Translate complex programmatic rules and technical solutions into compelling, easy-to-digest business narratives.

3. Partner Certifications & Entitlement Management

  • Build on structure and evolution of partner certification blueprints, technical validation pathways, and competency requirements globally as relates to the expert advantage program.
  • Manage and untangle complex customer entitlement frameworks with a focus on our commercial segment, ensuring partners can seamlessly navigate licensing, deployment rights, and service credits to accelerate time-to-value.

4. Data Analytics, Third-Party Tools & Operational Execution

  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate global program health, partner performance, and ROI.
  • Provide thought leadership to internal executive teams and external partner leaders, presenting clear, data-driven programmatic strategies.
  • Navigate and influence a high-energy corporate culture with diverse, strong personalities by building consensus and driving alignment across regional and global teams.
  • Leverage and navigate diverse third-party tools and enterprise platforms to extract, analyze, and synthesize raw data outputs into structured, highly actionable operational execution plans.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration, Advisory Boards & Events

  • Partner closely with Pre-Sales and Professional Services Organizations (PSO) to establish, cultivate, and lead global Services Advisory Boards, capturing partner feedback to influence long-term corporate strategy.
  • Drive thought leadership and end-to-end execution of services engagement events globally, positioning our organization as a premier services enablement engine for partners.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between technical pre-sales engineering, field delivery teams, marketing and partner ecosystems to ensure cohesive global messaging and programmatic alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Required to hold both a Bachelor's degree (in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field) AND or a Master's degree (MBA or Master of Science in a relevant discipline).
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive industry experience within the enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, or technology sector, with a definitive focus on Channel Program Management and Professional Services.
  • Tools & Analytical Skills: Advanced data literacy with a proven ability to work with third-party applications/tools and extract raw metrics to drive strategic program execution. Strong proficiency in building executive-level reports, dashboards, and consumption metrics.
  • VMware Domain Expertise: Strong working knowledge of VMware technologies, specifically the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform architecture and its component stacks (including vSAN/Storage, Tanzu/Kubernetes, and NSX/Security).
  • Program & Business Acumen: Direct experience structuring partner certification requirements, managing global routes to market, and operationalizing customer entitlement models. Experience with AI models and output preferred.
  • Global Scale: Proven track record of managing programs across multiple geographies (AMER, EMEA, APJ) while accounting for regional market nuances.

Preferred Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Innovative & "Outside-the-Box" Thinking: Proven ability to look past legacy programmatic frameworks to design non-traditional workflows, creative incentive structures, and novel problem-solving methodologies. You don't just manage existing programs; you re-imagine them to solve complex global channel friction.
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Proven ability to challenge the status quo, handle strong personalities, and command respect through competence and diplomatic communication.
