You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the NAVAIRWARCENADLKE SE &ALRE Group; Support Equipment Dept; Common & Commercial Systems Division; Aircraft Handling & Servicing Support Equipment Branch.

Help
  • You will oversee the entire lifecycle of equipment such as cranes, tow tractors, jacks, and hydraulic test equipment, from initial requirements analysis to in-service engineering support.
  • You will apply advanced principles and judgment to solve complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions to improve platform mission effectiveness.
  • You ensure teams have and use the required processes, tools, and procedures to execute their tasks effectively.
  • You will serve as the Branch Head, providing overall supervision, management, and leadership for a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and logisticians.
  • You will direct the engineering and logistics for the design, development, testing, and sustainment of Aircraft Handling and Servicing Support Equipment (SE).

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NM-03/GS-09-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience performing some or all of the following duties: 1.) Leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary workforce of engineers, logisticians, and other technical personnel responsible for the full life cycle management of aircraft handling and aircraft servicing support equipment; 2.) Applying expert knowledge of systems engineering, logistics, and life cycle management principles to direct the design, development, test, integration, fielding, sustainment, and in-service engineering of complex common support equipment; (3) Managing and integrating technical efforts across Integrated Product Teams to ensure requirements are translated into traceable, supportable, affordable, and operationally effective design solutions that meet cost, schedule, and performance baselines; 4.) Providing authoritative guidance and resolving highly complex engineering, logistics, maintenance, compatibility, and operational issues affecting support equipment performance and ship, aircraft, and weapon system interfaces; and 5.) Directing branch operations, personnel development, processes, and strategic resources, including establishing and enforcing standard procedures, mentoring staff, and ensuring organizational readiness to execute acquisition, technical, and sustainment responsibilities.
