Collins Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Specialist, Supply Chain Management within the Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) portfolio which is focused on cutting edge GPS circuit card assembly design and development.

The Principal Specialist, Supply Chain Management will be highly motivated and capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives and be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management. This position will involve program specific and general procurements and focus heavily on supplier sourcing and strategies. This is an individual contributor role who will be able to exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team. This role will be the primary point of contact to management and internal customers which include the Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts.

This is a remote position with working hours based on U.S. West Coast (Pacific Time)

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute the Supply Chain Program Strategy and Material Program Plan. Advise the program management office and leadership team on those strategies and progress.
  • Lead supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, make/buy/where process, and proposal development activities.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of material and labor budgets, earned value management, estimate at completion reporting, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.
  • Guide multiple functions on developing Supplier Statement of Work (SSOWs) and ensuring adherence to RTX policies.
  • Plan and execute supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management.
  • Plan and manage a dynamic material and services delivery forecast. Monitor performance metrics and proactively address program and functional issues.
  • Generate supplier risk and opportunity management plans, including Six Sigma activities.
  • Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews.
  • Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives. Serve as the liaison between the Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs and the Supply Chain organization.
  • Oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensuring a strong link within and between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program or Project Management experience.
  • Material Program Management (MPM) Certification required within one (1) year in the role.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree ; preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a Technical related or related business function.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing or enterprise planning tools such as SAP or PRISM.
  • Experience leading or participating in a project or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense Industry.
  • Experience developing teaming and partnering relationships in both domestic and international settings.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project).
  • Possess strong analytical, communication, team skills, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed, cross-function team members.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
