About the role

Location: Remote

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a Mid-Level Automation Tester (Engineer 2) to support automated testing and DevOps activities for a large-scale national security system. This role will develop automated test solutions and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, UrbanCode Deploy, and related tools.

The broader DevOps environment supports Agile lifecycle management, build and deployment automation, continuous integration, test automation, security analysis automation, static code analysis, repository management, and Infrastructure as Code.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active Final DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Job Responsibilities
    • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions.

    • Write automated test code using Java or related development languages.

    • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery.

    • Work with GitLab CI/CD, UrbanCode Deploy, and related DevOps tools.

    • Implement and support Behavior-Driven Development practices using Cucumber.

    • Develop automated tests using open-source frameworks such as Selenium, Serenity, and Cucumber.

    • Perform functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

    • Test REST and SOAP web services and APIs.

    • Develop and execute SQL queries to support testing and validation.

    • Support build automation, deployment automation, security analysis automation, and static code analysis.

    • Contribute to repository management and Infrastructure as Code practices.

    • Collaborate with Agile development and engineering teams supporting a national security system.

    Minimum Qualifications
      • US Citizen

      • Active Secret Clearance

      • 3+ years of hands-on automated test coding experience using Java, or development experience using C++ or C#.

      • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

      • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development using Cucumber.

      • Experience with Java, including frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.

      • Experience with open-source automation tools such as Selenium, Serenity, and Cucumber.

      • Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber.

      • Experience across Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.

      • Experience testing REST/SOAP web services and APIs.

      • Experience with SQL.

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Hands-on experience with open-source automated testing frameworks such as Serenity, Selenium, and Cucumber.

      • Experience using Java development tools such as Eclipse, JUnit, and Git.

      • Prior front-end development experience, including JavaScript frameworks

      • Experience supporting a large-scale federal IT program.

      • Experience with the SAFe Agile delivery framework.
