Job description

QA – Automation, Java, Selenium

The Sr.Quality Engineer performs software testing on Retrospective internal & external applications to ensure product quality, usability and integrity.

- Develop test plans, cases, scenarios and scripts to thoroughly test internal & external application changes and new products.

- Analyze and troubleshoot erroneous results, determine the root causes and suggest a solution.

- Conduct manual regression testing of applications on a scheduled basis to ensure product integrity.

- Work closely with software development team (Technical Product Owners, Engineers, Scrum Masters, Architects and Delivery Managers) to ensure timely and effective testing effort.

- Participate on Agile Scrum teams to understand and influence software requirements to build effective test plans and improve end-product usability.

- Act as testing lead on projects requiring multiple software testing resources.

- Identify and track testing issues in change tracking tool(s) to resolve software defects and issues.

- Conduct automated regression testing through the use of in-house or purchased third party Automated Test tools using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD)

- Identify, define and implement testing process and procedure improvements to continuously enhance product and process quality using a Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment framework (CI/CD)

- Train and mentor new software testers and other project stakeholders on testing processes, procedures and framework.

- Participate in other testing and process improvement projects, as needed. Other duties as assigned.

- Sees emerging patterns and opportunities, and adapts quickly and easily to new information, changing conditions or unexpected events. Facilitates and communicates change across the team or organization to drive adoption.

- Evaluates critical information needed to understand problems, determine probable causes, and develops workable solutions. Accurately assesses the costs, benefits, and risks associated with alternative courses of action and makes high quality and timely decisions.

Requirements:

- 4 Year Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent

- 5+ years of software testing experience in quality engineering, quality assurance or a similar role.

- Bamboo, and Github experience required

- Cucumber-TestNG framework using JAVA, Selenium, RestAssured, Maven for UI and API Automation Testing experience preferred.

- Nunit Framework using C#, Selenium, RestAssured, Nugut for UI and API testing experience preferred.

- Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot problems and find root causes.

- HealthCare experience pertaining to Medical Claims processing is preferred.

- SAFe® for Teams Preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to think “outside of the box”.

- Flexible in thought and creative in approach to testing.

- Ability to adjust schedule to meet release deadline, as needed (evenings, weekends).
