Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team at Inter Care Therapy Counseling Center. This full-time remote position offers you the opportunity to directly influence the lives of our clients by providing essential mental health support through telehealth. You will assess clients' mental health needs, develop tailored therapeutic strategies, and guide them towards improved well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use complications, and eating disorders. Your role will focus on creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for clients from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to explore their thoughts and feelings openly.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ evidence-based treatment approaches while maintaining cultural competence in therapy.
  • Strong crisis intervention abilities along with the capacity to remain calm in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in both individual and group therapy settings, focusing on culturally inclusive methodologies.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and online therapeutic tools.
