Job description

We are looking for experienced Network Security professionals to join the Crane Co. Global Information Security Team in supporting our global security operations program. The ideal candidate will have a solid proficiency in networking and network security with a focus on enterprise firewall management, network segmentation, SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA and NAC technologies. Previous security operations team experience is highly desired. On-site candidates preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.
In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the Global Information Security team as well as security representatives across a distributed IT environment to ensure the overall health and availability of the global security stack. You will help to oversee network security configurations evaluate risk and network changes in a global network. You will ensure project delivery of global network security initiatives, and collaborate with our businesses to ensure the global network security posture in a diverse technology ecosystem.
This role will also be responsible to assist with defining and settings towards further modernization of network security controls for cloud and SaaS platforms as well as traditional, on-prem networks. This is an exceptional opportunity to partner with subsidiaries and lines of business to advance Crane's global security posture.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform network and security reviews across a variety of network security technologies and work with security and technology teams to ensure effective controls and policy compliance
  • Provide oversight and work directly on the implementation, and administration of network security infrastructure including firewalls, networks sensors, and other network-based detective and preventive controls
  • Ensure proper configurations, effective change management, and risk identification across various network security solutions
  • Evaluate the security posture of systems and security processes to uncover vulnerabilities and potential exploitation vectors
  • Participate in cross training activities with other Business Unit network/systems Engineers and IT support teams
  • Work closely with business and technology managers to fix processes/procedures for data protection
  • Support global incident response and overall security operations
  • Effectively participate in data governance and risk compliance plans
  • Reporting and Metrics to support program objectives

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience in Network Security
  • Experience working with multiple common firewall providers
  • Experience with network monitoring technologies, network-anomaly detection
  • Experience evaluating and delivering SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA and NAC technologies
  • Desire to provide mentoring and guidance to business unit technology counterparts
  • Prioritize, assign, and ensure the daily work for self and business unit partners
  • Develop project plans and ensure project deliverables are met, both internally and as part of distributed teams
  • Strong project management experience and proven track record of delivery
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, distributed team.
  • Flexibility to work outside regularly scheduled/normal business hours as required.
  • Commitment to security training and earning corresponding certifications.
  • Passion for solving complex problems
