Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and supervising shifts to protect life and property on premises. Delegates assignments and supervises officers in performing duties. Enhances and upgrades security and safety measures for all persons and property. Coordinates shift activities to ensure effective incident response. Ensures adherence to security protocols and organizational standards.
Essential Functions
• Oversees and supervises assigned shift, addressing customer and staff concerns.
• Assigns patrol duties and ensures hourly patrols of campus grounds and structures.
• Ensures proper documentation of shift activities and incident reports in security systems.
• Investigates incidents and reports unusual occurrences to appropriate supervision.
• Monitors and maintains security equipment and systems, reporting issues as needed.
• Coordinates with other departments to support safety and security needs.
• Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain orderly flow on premises.
• Issues parking citations for violations and escorts customers and staff upon request.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area
Associate's degree preferred
Experience Requirement
  • 0-4 years f relevant supervisry experience, r an equivalent cmbinatin f training and supervisry/team lead experience typically required. 3 years driving experience required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & Licensures
IAHSS Cert as Healthcare Security Officer or within 30-days. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). Driver's license
