Job description

Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts is one of the world's largest upscale hotel brands. We pride ourselves in providing a premium experience for every guest. As a Security Manager, you will contribute to providing a premium experience by ensuring the safety and security of our guests, property, and staff by overseeing daily safety operations, managing security officers and supervisors, and responding to emergencies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner in cases of fire, injuries or medical events, and safety concerns.
  • Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records.
  • Coordinate staff safety education with the guidance of the Vice President of loss prevention, safety and security as well as the Hotel General Manager.
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of security personnel in alignment to company standards.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment in addition to completing regular property patrols to identify, correct, and report potentially hazardous conditions or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct incident investigations into accidents, thefts, disturbances or other violations of hotel policies and/or applicable laws, creating and filing detailed reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities, offering professional, friendly and engaging service where applicable.
  • Maintain a detailed Daily Activity Report, and correct and report any fire or health and safety hazards

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-4 Years of Security, Loss Prevention, or Military/Law Enforcement Experience
  • 2+ Years of Leadership experience including performance management, scheduling, and training plan development.
  • Hospitality Experience Preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, clear and concise communication
  • Technical proficiency with electronic security/surveillance systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Education Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED Required.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Hospitality, Corporate Security, or related field preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt position with expectation to work necessary business hours to ensure business needs are met during all operating hours.
