Remote Sculptor information

What is a remote sculptor?

A remote sculptor is an artist who creates sculptures while working outside of a traditional studio or gallery environment, often from their own home or a remote location. They may use digital tools, physical materials, or a combination of both to design and produce their work. Remote sculptors often collaborate with clients, galleries, or fabrication services online, sharing progress and final pieces digitally or through shipping. This role allows for greater flexibility and can open up opportunities to work with clients and organizations worldwide.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote sculptor?

To thrive as a Remote Sculptor, you need strong artistic ability, a background in fine arts or sculpture, and a solid understanding of sculpting techniques and materials. Familiarity with digital sculpting tools such as ZBrush, Blender, or other 3D modeling software is increasingly important, along with a professional portfolio. Excellent self-motivation, time management, and effective remote communication help sculptors succeed in virtual collaborations or freelance work. These skills and qualities are essential for consistently producing high-quality work, meeting client expectations, and maintaining productivity outside of traditional studio environments.

How does a remote sculptor typically collaborate with clients and other artists during a project?

As a remote sculptor, collaboration is often managed through digital communication tools such as video calls, email, and project management platforms. You'll frequently share sketches, 3D models, or progress photos to gather feedback and refine your work based on client or team input. While you may work independently on the physical or digital sculpting process, staying responsive and open to collaborative critique is key to a project's success. Regular virtual meetings help ensure everyone stays aligned on project goals and deadlines.

Description
Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned and managed practices in the country. Our team includes 190 radiologists, 40 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We are committed to remaining independent and providing the highest level of care to our patients. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.
What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan's largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. American College of Radiology has designated Corewell a Diagnostic Center for Excellence
What we are looking for: We are seeking candidates for a full-time, partnership track Radiologist position, onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan or REMOTE. The successful candidate will dedicate a significant percentage of clinical time to Nuclear Imaging and work primarily on-site, with some remote shifts from home. If hired for a fully remote role the position will include ~40% nucs. The remainder of the time will be determined based on preference but may include cross sectional, ER or general imaging shifts.
Responsibilities:
• Interpretation of PET/CT
• Diagnostic nuclear medicine
• Supervise therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
• General radiology and cross-sectional body imaging
Why is our practice unique? We strive to offer the best of both worlds- private practice flexibility and compensation with academic options. In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents and pursue research if desired. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled. We find that entrepreneurial minded physicians who value involvement in decision making and developing our business strategy fit well. Participation in section, committee and board meetings is not required but welcomed from day one.
Compensation/Benefits: We offer a $50K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation plan, stipends for on-site shifts, and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay $0 for single or family medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($70,000 in 2025). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we have a brand new 6-week paid parental leave benefit!
Why do you want to live here? Grand Rapids, Michigan, was recently named the #1 city on LinkedIn's inaugural "Cities on the Rise" list (July 2025)! The report highlights the city's growing tech scene, strong insurance industry, and expanding hubs in healthcare and advanced manufacturing. The region's affordable cost of living, proximity to Lake Michigan, reputation as "Beer City, USA" and bustling downtown continue to draw a growing community of young professionals.
Grand Rapids is Michigan's second largest city and less than a 60 minute drive to Lake Michigan beach towns such as Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck. Professional sports teams include the Whitecaps , the Griffins , the Gold and the Rise (baseball, hockey, basketball and volleyball). A new 12,000-seat outdoor performing arts center, Acrisure Amphitheater, set to open in mid-2026, and a new professional soccer venue, Amway Stadium, opening in 2027, will add to the appeal of the downtown. Local hotspots reflect a vibrant cultural scene that makes the Grand Rapids area a fantastic place to live, work, and play.
Grand Rapids is a wonderful place to raise a family offering award winning schools, walkable neighborhoods, and an abundance of opportunities for kids to engage in culture, art and nature. There are several museums, the ever-expanding John Ball Zoo and the world-renowned Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park for families to enjoy.
Requirements
• American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology certified
• Completion of a nuclear medicine fellowship or a certificate of added qualification in Nuclear Medicine
