Position Summary

The Reinsurance Implementation Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of reinsurance system implementation, transformation, migration, and enhancement projects for insurance and reinsurance clients. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, including planning, governance, execution, risk management, stakeholder engagement, budget control, and delivery management.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with deep knowledge of reinsurance operations and implementation methodologies. This individual serves as the primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while achieving expected business outcomes.

Experience implementing DXC SICS or comparable reinsurance administration platforms is highly desirable.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead end-to-end implementation and transformation projects involving reinsurance systems, operational processes, and technology solutions.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, risk registers, and delivery milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project sponsors, and senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including business analysts, solution architects, developers, testers, data migration specialists, and operational SMEs.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, functional requirements, project deliverables, and implementation plans.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, dependencies, issues, and change requests.
  • Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee meetings, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Oversee system configuration, integration, data conversion, testing, training, and deployment activities.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to support business readiness, change management, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Monitor project financials including revenue, margin, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational project management standards.
  • Support pre-sales and solutioning efforts by contributing to project estimates, implementation strategies, and delivery approaches.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and implementing delivery best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • 7+ years of project management experience leading large-scale software implementation or business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance operations, treaty administration, facultative business, accounting, reporting, and associated business processes.
  • Proven experience managing system implementation, migration, modernization, or digital transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stream projects involving business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and executive reporting.
  • Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams in remote and matrixed environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience implementing or supporting DXC SICS.
  • Experience with alternative reinsurance administration platforms such as SAP FS-RI, Sapiens ReinsuranceMaster, Majesco, or equivalent solutions.
  • PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or Agile certification.
  • Experience with cloud transformation, system migration, or digital modernization programs.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $95,900 - $178,100.
