Job description

Firefly Health is building a revolutionary new type of comprehensive health "care and coverage," powered by a relationship-driven care team, a trusted virtual and in-person clinical network, and our proprietary technology platform.
Founded by experienced clinicians and technology leaders, Firefly Health is on a mission to deliver clinical and financial health through joyful, always there care. We are flipping the script on what it means to be a health plan and actually providing a true health benefit to members.
We are intensely focused on optimizing the physical + mental + financial wellbeing of those who want (and deserve) something better than the status quo. If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and take on our audacious mission, we would love to hear from you.
Your Role
We're seeking a Member Lifecycle Lead to evolve Firefly's engagement engine from manual campaigns to a sophisticated, automated growth and engagement ecosystem. You will own the roadmap for how communications drive member acquisition, engagement, and retention. Your role is pivotal in nurturing customer relationships, enhancing brand loyalty, and maximizing revenue within a B2B2C business model through effective marketing strategies.
You are a strategic thinker who lives at the intersection of data-driven performance, product integration, and marketing engagement tactics. While email is critical, you won't just send emails; you'll architect the entire member communication journey. Looking for someone that possesses a dual-vision: the creative intuition to craft compelling content as well as the analytical rigor to identify exactly which levers (timing, channel, incentive) will trigger a desired outcome, whether that's a clinical appointment or an Open Enrollment signup.
This person should be equally adept at serving as a strategic advisor to clients as you are executing technical Braze workflows or navigating complex fulfillment logistics.
You will:
  • Architect email campaigns: Create sophisticated segmentation and trigger-based flows within our email platform (e.g., High-risk member outreach, transactional/operational messaging).
  • Forecast & analyze: You will own the methodology for enrollment forecasting. You are comfortable developing initial enrollment projections and tracking performance against those benchmarks.
  • Be client-facing: Lead marketing strategy in client meetings, attend meetings, and collaborate with the Client Success team on engagement strategy.
  • Bridge Product & Communications: Collaborate with Product and Data teams to integrate clinical risk stratification and app-based interactions into marketing triggers, ensuring the right members receive the right communications at the right time.
  • Manage Open Enrollment season strategy: Oversee the complete strategy for the Open Enrollment season, encompassing coordination of employer on-site events, event attendance, and the creation of both digital and print materials.
  • Prove the ROI: Establish an attribution framework to measure how member marketing drives Firefly's core clinical and financial KPIs.

You'd be a good fit if:
  • Braze expert: You have a demonstrated track record of using Braze (or similar tools) to drive measurable conversion and retention.
  • Scrappy & strategic: You have the startup "knack" for rolling up your sleeves but the executive presence when presenting to leadership or clients.
  • Data-driven: You are proficient in Looker/Excel and comfortable pulling your own lists and conducting A/B test analysis.
  • Healthcare savvy: You understand the nuances of the healthcare landscape, including PHI, OE cycles, and the unique challenges of member engagement.

It'd be nice if:
  • Experience content directing: You have a marketing-savvy eye for what resonates. You are able to effectively communicate a vision to contractors to create digital and print assets.
  • Messaging expert: Dig deep into the product to understand the value propositions and craft compelling and validated messaging.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Firefly Health is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
Our office is in Watertown, Massachusetts, but we've developed a robust remote working structure to give us more geographical flexibility while hiring for many positions. This role can be done largely remotely, there are several times a year when staff come together onsite for planning and team building.
Firefly is an equal opportunity employer. We value diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We're committed to building and sustaining an inclusive workplace culture where individuals are treated with dignity and respect. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need. Firefly is an E-Verify employer.
