Job Title- Test Analyst
Location - Remote,
Duration- 12-Month Contract | Open for Australian Shift Hours)

Contract Overview
This is a 12-month remote contract role with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.
Position Overview
s a Test Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Your responsibilities include designing, executing, and analysing tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvements in the software development, support, and testing processes.
Responsibilities
1. Test Planning and Strategy
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand objectives and acceptance criteria.
2. Test Design and Execution
  • Create detailed and structured test cases and scripts covering functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, identify issues, and document defects.
  • Prepare documentation for features tested.
3. Defect Management
  • Log, prioritise, and track software defects.
  • Work closely with the Director of Support and developers to ensure timely defect resolution.
4. Automation and Tool Proficiency
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Ghost Inspector or Selenium.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new testing tools.
5. Collaboration
  • Work with cross-functional teams including developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the development lifecycle.

1. Defect Detection Rate (DDR)
  • Formula:
    Number of defects found before release / Total number of defects found and missed in feature testing.
  • Goal:
    Measures the testing team's efficiency in identifying defects during the testing phase.
2. Testing Cycle Timeline (Estimated vs Actuals)
  • Formula:
    Completion of testing within the allocated testing block of time aligned with the product development cycle.
  • Goal:
    Indicates testing efficiency by measuring the time taken to complete a full testing cycle.
3. Test Automation Coverage

    Ratio of manual testing vs. automated testing.
