To thrive as a Remote Script Coverage Analyst, you need strong analytical reading skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of screenwriting structure and industry standards, typically supported by a background in film, literature, or creative writing. What is remote script coverage?

Remote script coverage refers to the process where a reader evaluates and summarizes screenplays or scripts from a remote location, rather than working onsite at a studio or agency. These professionals read scripts, write coverage reports that include a summary, analysis, and recommendations about the script’s potential, and deliver their feedback digitally. This job is common in the film, television, and literary industries to help producers, agents, and executives quickly assess the viability of scripts. Remote script coverage allows for flexible work arrangements and can be performed by freelancers or employees working from home.
