In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate specialized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies centered on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, refining coping mechanisms, and fostering a path toward healing.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure that patients benefit from a holistic, coordinated approach to their health.
• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available therapeutic resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Engage in regular case discussions, team meetings, and professional development workshops focused on the latest advances in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic strategies in trauma therapy to continually enhance your practice.

This role primarily focuses on individuals impacted by complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse and includes adults facing various challenges related to their trauma histories, seeking help to reclaim their lives and foster resilience. As a therapist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering these individuals on their journey toward recovery.

The ideal candidate will hold:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• A strong knowledge base regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working directly with trauma-affected populations.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a commitment to maintaining organized and insightful patient records.
