Job description

Are you a social media expert who lives and breathes digital content? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where creativity meets strategy? Scripps is seeking a Social Media Specialist to oversee our social media platforms and advertising processes from start to finish. In this remote role, you'll be the go-to expert for our sales teams, creating compelling content while staying ahead of the latest trends in social media advertising.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Establish and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding all social media advertising guidelines including important parameters, e.g. text limitations and prohibited content.

  • Serve as an expert in creation software.

  • Content Creation - write ad copy in tone/voice consistent with Scripps brands.

  • Schedule and maintain documentation/calendar ensuring we are not over-posting.

  • Manage all steps within the process (making sure handshake/hashtag are included, nuances within Creator Studio/Ads Manager).

  • Manage approval process with Ad Operations Analyst and local sales teams.

  • Implement efficient intake workflows as well as provide success metrics to campaign managers and local sales teams.

  • Provide relevant reporting to Campaign Managers and local sales teams.

  • Cultivate productive professional relationships with clients, vendors and internal teams.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital sales and or digital sales support required

  • Experience with digital ad serving technology

  • Experience with order and social media ad platforms

  • Experience with web analytics, e.g. Omniture, Quantcast, Google Analytics

  • Experience with order management systems e.g. Wide Orbit traffic, DoubleClick, and FatTail order management systems

  • Experience with vendor management

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Digital and social media savvy

  • Working knowledge of Trello / Google Drive applications, specifically Sheets

  • Familiarity with Facebook Creator Studio/Ads Manager

  • Familiarity with Digital and Broadcast advertising

  • Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Ability to successfully manage several orders simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Comfort interacting with all levels of the organization

  • Strong writing and grammar skills
