We believe FHU is a good company doing good things for its employees, clients, and communities. We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to join our Sioux Falls, SD office.

Position Overview

As a Project Manager with FHU, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, budgets, and resource needs
  • Support defining project objectives and deliverables with internal teams and clients
  • Coordinate with project team members to maintain alignment and clear communication
  • Track project progress and help identify and address potential issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
  • Support budget tracking and monitor project expenditures
  • Assist with resource coordination and staffing needs
  • Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day project communications
  • Prepare regular project status updates for internal teams and clients
  • Ensure work aligns with company quality standards and applicable regulations
  • Participate in project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management within engineering, including roadway, highway, interchange, or related transportation design projects
  • Experience with MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, with emphasis on surface modeling
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining schedules and budgets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to present information clearly to team members and clients
  • Experience supporting development of roadway plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • EI required; PE (or ability to obtain) preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

The pay for this position has a range of $85,000 - $120,000 annually. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
