This position is remote, offering flexible working conditions while aligning with the needs of the school community. You will work closely with educational professionals, including teachers and school counselors, to integrate social work practices into the educational environment effectively. While the primary function is remote, periodic visits to schools may be necessary to assess students' environments and establish rapport.

• Conduct in-depth assessments of students' psychosocial needs, focusing on emotional, behavioral, and social challenges that may impact their academic performance and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that address specific student needs.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic support to students facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues, helping them to develop coping strategies.
• Advocate on behalf of students to ensure they have access to necessary resources, services, and accommodations that promote learning and personal growth.
• Facilitate group sessions or workshops aimed at fostering social skills, emotional resilience, and peer relationships.
• Maintain accurate and current documentation of student assessments, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with district and state regulations.
• Engage in regular communication with families to support them in understanding resources available and navigating challenging situations that may arise at home or school.
• Provide crisis intervention support as needed, ensuring the safety and emotional stability of students during urgent situations.
• Stay informed about best practices and policy changes within social work and education to continue improving services offered.

Our primary focus is on students in a school setting, addressing the diverse needs of children and adolescents who may be experiencing emotional disturbances, behavioral challenges, or life transitions. This role requires a deep understanding of the educational system and the ability to connect with students from various backgrounds, ensuring that each child's unique story is heard and respected.

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in social work, with a strong preference for experience in school settings or working with children and adolescents.
• Proficient understanding of child development, common psychosocial issues affecting youth, and available community resources.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills, with the ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Technological proficiency, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual communication tools.

• Experience working in a school-based or educational environment, with an understanding of educational policies and school culture.
• Familiarity with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and 504 plans.
• Certification in trauma-informed care, play therapy, or cognitive-behavioral therapy is a plus.
