St. Bonaventure Catholic School in Davie, Florida has an opening for an Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, designing instruction to motivate and engage all learners, and the ability to develop cross-curricular units. The candidate performs all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree in Elementary Education.
  • FDOE Teaching Certificate in Primary Education (PK-3) or Elementary Education (K-6)
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills use of instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency in using an iPad, PC, Google Classroom, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Other educational apps a plus.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
