This role primarily operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while ensuring that therapists can connect with students across different school districts in Tacoma, Washington. By leveraging teletherapy technologies, you will provide effective mental health interventions, participate in team meetings, and collaborate closely with educational staff—all from a virtual environment designed to uphold a supportive and inclusive culture for both clients and therapists.

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' mental health needs, employing standardized tools and client interviews.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each student’s unique circumstances.
• Provide various therapy formats—including individual, group, and family sessions—utilizing an array of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.
• Collaborate with school staff, case managers, and external mental health service providers to ensure comprehensive care and address barriers that may impede student success.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed, demonstrating effective strategies for managing acute distress during emergencies.
• Engage in community outreach and educational campaigns to foster mental health awareness, thereby reducing stigma and broadening access to help.

You will primarily work with students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, offering culturally competent care that respects and understands each individual's unique experiences. Your role will contribute significantly to improving the emotional resilience and academic performance of these young clients, fostering healthier lifestyles and coping mechanisms.

• Must possess an active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling the establishment of trust and rapport with students and their families.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure timely documentation and follow-up interventions.

• Prior experience in school-based mental health or child and adolescent therapy is highly preferred, alongside familiarity with educational systems.
• Experience in conducting psychoeducational workshops or community mental health initiatives.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
