As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and group therapy sessions to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
• Communicating regularly with school personnel and healthcare providers to give updates on patient progress, discuss concerns, and address any potential issues impacting student well-being.
• Maintaining accurate and timely client records, including clinical notes and progress assessments, in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive psychosocial assessments, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective interventions and discharge planning.
• Conducting crisis interventions to assess and manage acute emotional reactions, guiding students during periods of distress.
• Coordinating care with the student’s family or support network to enhance therapeutic outcomes and engagement in treatment.

This role primarily involves working with children and adolescents in a school setting. You will provide vital therapeutic support to students facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your interventions will be aimed at improving emotional regulation, academic performance, and overall quality of life, benefiting not only the individual students but also the broader school community.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution.
• An active license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient or school-based setting.
• Strong technological proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the capability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

While the above qualifications are required, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience in a school-based mental health role.
• Background in crisis intervention and counseling techniques.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for childhood and adolescent mental health issues.
