Role Summary

Perfectus Labs is a fast-growing digital marketing powerhouse built on AI-powered innovation. We help service businesses scale by deploying the same sophisticated tools used by global enterprises—specifically through our flagship BookedSolid AI and Cognos AI SEO platforms.
We are seeking a Senior AEO Manager / Director of AEO to lead and scale our SEO and AEO function. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving client strategy, overseeing execution, and shaping the future of our AI-driven AEO/SEO products.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in advancements with AEO and modern SEO, strong leadership experience, and a proven ability to translate search strategy into measurable business growth. You will serve as both a strategic leader and operational owner—guiding client success, mentoring teams, and influencing product development.

Key Responsibilities

SEO & AEO Strategy Leadership

  • Own and lead AEO and SEO strategy across a portfolio of clients, ensuring alignment with business goals and measurable growth outcomes.
  • Bring advanced expertise in AEO, including entity optimization, semantic search, AI search visibility, and emerging SERP features.
  • Continuously evolve strategies to align with AI-driven search ecosystems (e.g., Google SGE, LLM-powered discovery).
Client & Account Ownership

  • Oversee the AEO/SEO side of client engagements, acting as the senior strategic point of contact.
  • Guide account strategy, performance direction, and long-term growth planning.
  • Partner closely with Client Success teams to ensure retention, expansion, and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Fulfillment Oversight

  • Lead and scale the AEO/SEO fulfillment team, ensuring high-quality execution across all campaigns.
  • Oversee both the Fulfillment Team and Client Team to ensure seamless delivery and communication.
  • Establish performance standards, workflows, and accountability across teams.
Operational Excellence

  • Drive scalable processes, SOPs, and frameworks that ensure consistent, high-quality output across all accounts.
  • Monitor campaign performance across multiple clients, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Ensure reporting reflects not just activity, but strategic insights and business impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Influence

  • Collaborate with leadership and engineering teams to shape the evolution of internal SEO/AEO software.
  • Provide real-world insights to inform feature development, automation opportunities, and product direction.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on SEO and AEO innovation.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in SEO, with significant exposure to AEO / AI-driven search optimization.
  • Proven track record of managing client portfolios and delivering measurable SEO growth.
  • Experience in agency or high-growth environments strongly preferred.
Leadership

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and scaling operations.
  • Strong ability to mentor, coach, and develop talent across both strategy and execution roles.
Technical & Strategic Expertise

  • Deep expertise in GA4, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and modern SEO toolsets.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and entity-based search.
  • Forward-thinking approach to AI in search, including LLMs, structured data, and knowledge graphs.
Communication & Client Management

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear business value.
  • Confident in client-facing settings, including strategy presentations and performance reviews.
Adaptability & Innovation

  • Highly adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment.
  • Passion for staying ahead of industry trends and bringing new ideas to the table.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

You are a strategic AEO leader who goes beyond execution—you understand how search (and AI-driven discovery) directly impacts revenue, market positioning, and long-term business growth. You’ve operated on both the client and fulfillment sides, and you know how to translate strategy into scalable systems that drive consistent results.
You thrive in high-growth environments and bring a forward-thinking perspective on AEO and AI-powered search, with a strong understanding of LLMs and how they are reshaping visibility. You’re not just keeping up with industry changes—you’re helping define what comes next.
You are proven in your ability to lead teams, own client outcomes, and drive performance at scale. You take accountability for both strategy and execution, and you know how to align people, processes, and technology to deliver measurable impact.
