This position is available to be filled at any Huntington Corporate office location.

Summary:

Responsible for the design & implementation of deposit pricing strategy for Regional Banking interest-bearing deposit products. Goals include achieving interest expense and profitability targets for Huntington Bank, while growing deposit balance at the lowest cost.    

Detailed description:      

  • Interpret and forecast business-driver trends: current and future.  
  • Independently evaluate previous month's results to plan; review product-rate driver trends and update economic scenarios and forecasts for the current month, quarter and year.  
  • Monitor progress weekly: competitor's rates and advertisements, economy, Huntington's balances-revenue, plan targets, balances at risk, product driver trends, and optimal pricing targets.  
  • Communicate changes to scenarios, risks, rates, positioning, financials, trends and other analysis within regular meetings, emails, updates to partners and communication channels.  
  • Partner with other disciplines sharing insights from competitor, price elasticity and break-even analysis for enhancing sales, cross-selling, and client retention initiatives.  
  • Manage exception pricing process for Regional Banking clients.    
  • Drive analytics required to find customer & sales insights needed to effectively craft and implement pricing strategy.

Basic Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor's Degree  
  • 7 years of product development, deposit pricing, forecasting, and/or finance experience.    

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Financial services experience, preferably in a Deposits-related role.
  • Master’s degree
  • Strong and creative analytical skills, competence/confidence in pulling and analyzing data, and translating the analyses into actionable strategies and tactics.  
  • Strong decision making and negotiation skills and ability to provide rate solutions/strategies that work for the bank and for bankers.  
  • Knowledge of methods for effectively measuring, analyzing, planning and monitoring financial market trends, competitor trends and Huntington's revenue and balance sheet trends.  
  • Experience in collaborating with partners and peers in treasury, finance, technology, marketing, sales and vendors.  
  • Experience planning and executing multiple projects in a timely and efficient manner.  
  • Capability of utilizing business acumen and knowledge of business drivers for assessing market conditions and forecasting revenue and pricing actions.  ​Effective written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Technical skills: SAS, Price Elasticity modeling software, Essbase, Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation Range:

Total Base Pay Range 93,000.00 - 189,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
