What is a remote Salesforce University?

A Remote Salesforce University is an online educational program or institution that offers training and certification courses for Salesforce, a popular customer relationship management (CRM) platform. These universities provide remote learning options, allowing students and professionals to develop Salesforce skills from anywhere with internet access. Courses may cover topics like Salesforce administration, development, consulting, and platform-specific functionalities, and often prepare learners for official Salesforce certification exams. Remote Salesforce Universities utilize live virtual classes, recorded lectures, hands-on labs, and interactive assignments to facilitate learning. Such programs are ideal for those seeking flexible schedules or who prefer not to attend in-person classes.

What are common challenges faced by professionals working in a remote Salesforce University training role, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote Salesforce University training roles often face challenges such as engaging learners virtually, managing different time zones, and ensuring consistent communication with both students and team members. To address these challenges, trainers can utilize interactive tools like breakout rooms, polls, and live Q&A sessions to boost participation. Regular check-ins, clear documentation, and leveraging collaborative platforms also help maintain team alignment and ensure trainees are supported throughout the course.

Job description

Your Role

We're looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate revenue growth by qualifying leads, developing customer relationships, and helping expand Hudl's presence in a designated region.

To succeed, you'll:

  • Generate momentum and revenue. You'll cold call, email and demonstrate products over Zoom to connect potential customers with the right Hudl solutions. You'll also identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Partner with Account Executives. SDRs partner closely with Account Executives (who focus on growing acquisition revenue) to strategize on deal negotiations, maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Concentrate on a specific market. You'll focus on our small college market which includes NCAA Division II, III, NAIA, Canadian colleges and junior college customers in North America across all sports.

This role requires three days in our Lincoln, Nebraska headquarters per week, so we're only considering candidates who live within a commuting distance or who are open to relocating.

Must-Haves
  • A university degree. This is an entry-level role, so no experience is required.
  • Sales skills. Negotiation, prospecting, objection handling and closing deals are all areas you'll need to excel in.
  • Motivation. You love to beat your own records, expect the best from yourself, and always want to keep improving.
  • Organized. You can own your territory by mapping out your days with the prospects you're going to contact, and you're comfortable working in a remote environment.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Tech knowledge. You've spent time in SalesForce, Slack and Google Drive. You understand how to leverage these tools effectively and how they relate to your day-to-day work.
  • SaaS experience. If you've spent time selling software-as-a-service, that's a plus.
  • Knowledgeable about sports. Being an athlete, coach or administrator in club or high school sports isn't necessary, but would help you connect with our user base.
Our Role
  • Champion work-life harmony. We'll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you'll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We're lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We'll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you're at the office or working remotely, we'll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees' wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you'll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that's free money. We'll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
