What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

  • Anticipate, plan and deliver IT solutions that support enterprise strategic goals and enable increased business value

  • Own end-to-end solution design for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementation.

  • Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.

  • Design and implement integrations using:

  • REST/SOAP APIs

  • Middleware tools (e.g., IIB, MuleSoft, Boomi, APIGEE, MFT and Attunity)

  • Provides Solution architecture to various projects in adherence to the overall Sales and Service Strategy and Roadmap

  • Works with Enterprise Architects, Solution and product owners to develop detailed technical architecture patterns for Salesforce initiatives.

  • Experience in both Build and Run projects desirable

  • Demonstrate functional integration with business users documenting requirements, functional specifications, functional/regression/UAT testing.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team that consists of onshore/offshore resources, including both contractors and FTE’s

  • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Drive adoption of best practices, reusable frameworks, and standards

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in Salesforce implementation, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Strong expertise in:

  • Apex & Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Sales Cloud

  • Service Cloud

  • Marketing Cloud Account Engagement /Pardot

  • Agentforce

  • Data360

  • Proven experience in solution design and architecture

  • Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and APIs

  • Experience working in enterprise-scale Salesforce environments.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Strong technical experience working on large SFDC implementations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MCAE and Apttus CLM.

  • Implementation experience of Agentforce on the business use cases.
