Location: This is a remote position.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic and agile team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and implementing innovative Salesforce solutions that enhance our customers' business processes and drive efficiency. This role ensures seamless integration between Salesforce and external Rails applications while defining best practices and standards for development, deployment, and automation. You will collaborate with government partners and other contractors, and apply DevOps methodologies to streamline workflows.

This is a fully remote, full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government partners and other contractors to design, implement, and deploy new staff workflows, automations, and improvements within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to plan and support integrations with core Rails applications.
  • Write and review technical documentation and perform code reviews.
  • Write and maintain robust automated test suites to ensure code quality.
  • Develop tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows, including release management, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Assist in shaping the overall vision and approach of the Salesforce organization and community of practice.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.

Qualifactions & Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience developing features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows.
  • Experience building scalable architecture, including batch flows, asynchronous calls, managing governor limits, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with end-to-end QA workflows (code review, testing automation, manual QA, release management and monitoring).
  • Experience building fault-tolerant integrations between external systems.
  • Ability to collaboratively design data models that leverage Salesforce functionality while integrating cleanly with external services.
  • Proficiency in SOQL, and Salesforce Lightning.
  • Expertise in REST/SOAP APIs and web services for system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of Service Cloud features and best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to refine requirements, conduct research, and drive architectural decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about trade-offs and short-term vs. long-term benefits, especially with regards to out-of-the-box Salesforce features and custom solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and apply best practices for building maintainable, extensible, and secure Salesforce solutions.

Experience:

  • 3-6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional product teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering value to clients.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered a plus.

    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
    • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, the Benefits Management Module, and building scalable solutions that leverage the built-in data model and flows alongside custom logic and integrations.
  • Experience using Salesforce Connect to integrate with GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with Copado and Cypress for automated testing and deployment.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira, Slack, and Confluence.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, finance, or government sectors is advantageous.
