About the Technology Team:

The Role
This role will join the JC Davis Power Technology team, responsible for building and supporting internal platforms, enterprise systems, and AI-enabled solutions.
The Solution Engineer acts as the bridge between business teams and Technology, helping translate business requirements into effective solutions using the company's enterprise application ecosystem.
Aligned to a specific business domain (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations), the Solution Engineer develops a strong understanding of the processes, workflows, objectives of the team they support. They work directly with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, evaluate potential solutions, and implement approved changes across enterprise platforms.
This role combines business understanding, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on system configuration. It involves designing and delivering solutions across the company's technology ecosystem, with Salesforce as the core CRM platform, alongside a range of integrated systems supporting different business domains
The Solution Engineer works closely and reports to the CTO to ensure solutions align with business priorities and technology standards.
What You Will Work On
  • Serve as the primary technology contact for assigned business functions.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Evaluate available options within the company's technology ecosystem and recommend the most appropriate approach.
  • Prepare solution proposals and review them with the CTO for validation, prioritization, or architectural guidance when needed.
  • Configure, build, test, and deploy solutions within supported enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with other Solution Engineers to ensure consistency across business processes and systems.
  • Partner with the Software Development Team when requirements exceed the capabilities of enterprise platforms and require custom software development.

What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce, including hands-on configuration, workflows, and automation.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Solution Engineer, Business Systems, Solution Architect, or similar business-facing technology role.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to implementing system changes, following established processes and best practices.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HubSpot, NetSuite, or other enterprise business applications is a plus.
  • This role is a remote position, based in Texas. Candidates should be in driving distance of our Elgin, TX location for occasional in-person meetings.
